Standard Call Outs

Standard call outs provide a repid and precise method of crew communication.

In busy areas it may be necessary to anticipate the call ensuring the correct phraseology is used.

Standard calls are also treated as incapacitation monitoring.  The 80 Knot call on takeoff confirms that both Pilots are functioning, in the event of no response to this call it is the only situation where a First Officer would command and abort a take off.

This Double Call concept ensures the PNF would take control if the PF did not respond.

If a call is missed the other pilot or F/E must initiate it.
